Claire Santaniello is a Managing Director and Head of Operations for BNY Mellon | Pershing and is a member of Pershing’s Executive Committee. In this role, Claire is responsible for Operations domestically and is also responsible for Pershing India, which provides services to Pershing entities globally. Key to her role is delivering new solutions that foster client growth, leading change for our industry and our clients, simplifying processes to maximize efficiency for our clients and our people and ensuring the resilience of our business as well as the safety and soundness of the assets in our custody.
Prior to her current role, Claire served as global chief administrative officer, global chief risk officer and global chief compliance officer. Claire began her professional journey in financial services at Pershing in 1991 through a training program.
Claire is a member of the Securities and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Board and has served on various SIFMA and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Committees throughout her career. She also formerly served on the Board of NJ SEEDS.
Claire earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Muhlenberg College. She also completed the Securities Industry Institute program, sponsored by SIFMA, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
